Breeding Pair Spotlight - Sam and Sky

Writer's picture: Tori RozanskiTori Rozanski

Over the next few weeks, I'm going to try and spotlight our 2020 breeding line-up. Today we start with Flint and Steel Sam Adams and JWM Big Sky.

JWM Big Sky and Flint and Steel Sam Adams

Sam, now almost three, is a large, handsome, friendly boar with a nice top line, great hams, and a nice-long torso. In my opinion, he is just about perfect.

Sky is almost 2 1/2 years old and a daughter of our original boar, Ingleside Clyde. She is a mid-sized, nicely-built, well-mannered sow, with strong maternal instincts. We kept a boar from her first litter, CMG Charles Dickens.

I expect these two to produce friendly offspring with well-balanced frames. Some will probably grow to be mid-sized (like Sky). Others, I expect, will mature to be larger (like Sam).
